Ruth Rollin is the Liberal Democrat Candidate for Brockenhurst in the elections scheduled for May 2021. This division covers the parishes of Beaulieu, Bransgore, Brockenhurst, Burley, Denny Lodge, East Boldre, Exbury and Lepe, and Sway.
Ruth has lived in Brockenhurst for over 30 years. So, she knows what it’s like to live, work, volunteer, play and raise a family in the New Forest. Ruth worked as a primary school teacher in Brockenhurst, Lymington and Southampton. Her children grew up enjoying the opportunities that our special area offers, and they attended the local Playgroup and our excellent schools.
Over the years Ruth has been an active member of the local community, she says, “my efforts are always focused on bringing benefit to all local people whilst protecting our economy and environment; and especially making sure that young people feel part of our community. It is particularly pleasing to see the next generation of parents build on these foundations.”
Ruth says we face many challenges; be they financial constraints, health, Care, transport and especially climate change. She believes that if elected as the County Councillor for the Brockenhurst Division her personal values of honesty, integrity, fairness, empathy, kindness, and belief in the importance of community will help her to represent you and enable us to work together to help our communities thrive.
Ruth would like to thank those members who, in the past, have helped her with funding and delivering leaflets to households in the Brockenhurst Division – from Bransgore to Beaulieu and everything in between! She says, “We tripled the Liberal Democrat vote in 2017 and came second. Now we are looking ahead to the upcoming County Election in May 2021 and I would like to invite you, as a member of the Liberal Democrats, to be part of our team in any way that you feel able.”
