Matt has lived in Hythe and Southampton all his life.
He attended Waterside Primary and Applemore Secondary school and then was taken seriously ill and was in and out of hospital for 3 years.
This resulted in Matt not been able to attend mainstream school.
Matt has a disabled sister and providing provision locally to support those who need it in order that they are valuable contributors to our society is something that Matt passionately believes in.
Indeed the provision of social services in the local area is vitally important to Matt.
He works in a local business and believes in supporting local businesses.
One of the values that attracted Matt to the Liberal Democrats is their belief in local business and then that these businesses giving back to the communities they are in.
As someone who relies on public transport Matt will be fighting for local bus services.
He believes the price of buses is far too high and he will be demanding better local buses for all local residents.
Despite his young age Matt finds time to volunteer and was recently awarded the High Sheriff’s award for volunteering in community projects supporting the community centres, youth clubs, and local schools.
