Conservatives refuse to fix waste issues before expanding service
The Conservatives have refused a request by the Liberal Democrats to fix the issues that have plagued the phase one area of the council's waste rollout before expanding the service to the rest of the New Forest.
The motion was proposed by Cllr Malcolm Wade and seconded by Cllr David Millar.
Your local Lib Dem team spoke about the vivid examples of service failure across the New Forest. Cllr Jack Davies, representing Pennington in phase one, told the council that “Hurst View Caravan Park hasn't had a collection for three months” and “elderly people were forced to chase the bin men down the road because they hadn't been given the code to the new bin store”.
