Waste Strategy Survey

On 4th November 2020, New Forest District Council's ruling Cabinet approved the draft waste and recycling strategy for the New Forest with the recommendation that it will now be worked on in more detail to see how a new service could operate effectively across the district.

The strategy sets out how to increase recycling rates, which have been historically low when compared to other councils. The option which seems to be preferred by the ruling administration is for alternate collections (recycling one week, general waste the next, with food waste collected every week) using wheelie bins (estimated to be 3 or 4 per household depending upon whether garden waste continues to be collected in a bag or changes to a wheelie bin).

Liberal Democrats pride ourselves on listening to you and working hard all year round on your priorities and concerns. That's why we want to know what you think about these proposals. How do you feel about them? Good? Bad? How could this draft strategy be improved? Let us know by answering these next few questions!
