Urge Hampshire County Council to keep Marchwood and Somerley Recycling Centres open

As residents of the New Forest, we are deeply concerned about the potential closure of our local recycling centres in Marchwood and Somerley. These closures are part of a proposal by Hampshire County Council under its Future Services Consultation.

The issue is personal to us because, without these centres, we will see an increase in improper methods of waste disposal. This will result in more fly-tipping, littering, pollution, and environmental harm in the New Forest. It will also cause traffic chaos at Efford Tip in Pennington - which would have to serve the entire New Forest District.

Your local Liberal Democrats are fighting against these tip closures but we need to show the County Council that there is a large amount of public opposition to their proposals. Will you sign our petition calling on Hampshire Council to keep Marchwood and Somerley Recycling Centres open?
